Software Partner Program Manager

Primary job responsibilities focus on relationship management with key strategic partners and financial data analysis necessary to make business decisions. Skills and experience necessary for this position include subject matter expertise on programs/products supported, a strong background in financial and data analysis, project management expertise, an ability to present to internal and external audiences, as well as a strong understanding of marketing and operation principles. Experience with small business and commercial segments is a plus. Ideal candidate will possess or quickly be able to master the following skills:

  • Business acumen: Must have a strong overall sense of the balance between the business relationship and financial, marketing and operational impacts.
  • Relationship management: Must be able to balance internal business requirements with those of our partners as well as recognize potential issues and quickly bring them to resolution.
  • Financial & data analysis: Must be comfortable compiling and analyzing data required to make business decisions—including developing and maintaining reports as well as providing an analysis of the data.
  • Subject matter expertise: Must possess a high level of familiarity with the high tech, PC and software industries. Experience with small business/commercial business segments is a plus.
  • Project management: Must be able to coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage program implementations. Multitasking and strong time management skills are also necessary to meet tight deadlines in high-paced environment.
  • Contracts & licensing: Must be comfortable reading agreements. Experience with contractual negotiations and software licensing is a plus.
  • Presentation skills: Must be expert in PowerPoint with an ability to design presentations and present them to both external and internal audiences.
  • Detail oriented: Must be able to understand and discuss comprehensively the programs being managed.

Required qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree in business or finance.
  • 3-8 years of work experience in a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office.
