Requests for Donations
Gateway believes that investing in our communities is a corporate responsibility, and we fulfill this responsibility through the Gateway Foundation.

Our corporate giving focuses on our mission: to invest in our communities and future by providing state-of-the-art technology and technical support to underserved youth and schools. While Gateway views charitable giving as a responsibility, regrettably, we are unable to accept or respond favorably to donation requests that do not align with our mission.
The Gateway Foundation primarily grants requests from organizations that are for computers to be made generally available to underserved youth served by the organization and used directly by these young people, such as in a computer lab setting. The Foundation generally does not approve requests for computers to be given to a specific individual or to be used for administrative purposes.
Requests will not be considered that do not align with our mission, including but not limited to:
- Organizations outside of a 50-mile radius from one of our locations:
- - North Sioux City, South Dakota
- Irvine, California
- Financial or in-kind support for individuals, regardless of demonstrated need
- Scholarship programs, stipends or fellowships
- Building or renovation projects
- General operating expenses
- Annual or capital campaigns
- Endowment funds
- Research projects
- Conferences or seminars
- Sports programs or competitions, individual or team
- Product or premiums for raffles, door prizes, auctions, banquets or any other form of fundraiser or giveaway
If your donation request is not one of the above and is in line with our corporate giving mission, please e-mail your request to gatewayfoundation@gateway.com. Please include the organization name, address, contact person, and nature of the request, including what is being requested and how it is to be used. ** Please note that our gifts are in the form of technology as opposed to cash.
Consideration of Requests
Gateway carefully considers those requests that align with our business and community goals and are within the parameters of our charter.
The Foundation Board meets during the spring and the fall each year to consider requests and make grants to those we feel align most closely with our charter. In the event your organization is selected to receive a donation, you will be contacted directly.
Thank you for your interest in partnering with the Gateway Foundation.
