Consumer.hardocp.com, December 4, 2006

Yahoo! Tech, September 27, 2007

"Gateway is making a splash here at DigitalLife with its latest all-in-one PC, and after taking a closer look, it's easy to see why. The One clearly takes a page from the iMac's book with its sleek, glossy design and nearly featureless front panel, which are only a few inches wide at its thickest point. But I also admired its clever, 'one-cord' approach, which should (hopefully) get copied throughout the desktop industry."

Wired.com, September 27, 2007

"Gateway One PC: The Hell With Neo, This Really Is the One."

CNET/ZD.com, September 27, 2007

"The Gateway One has a few clever design elements, and the best upgradeability we've seen in an enclosed system."

TG Daily, September 27, 2007

"Gateway today announced a stylish new desktop PC that likely is the best interpretation of Apple's iMac for the Windows PC space yet. Gateway has put a lot of brainwork into this system and has come up with quite a few interesting solutions."

Switched.com, September 27, 2007

"The Gateway One - Is This the Sexiest
Sure, it may look like a black iMac, but it's got some extra twists that make it impressively innovative...
We saw this baby a few weeks ago when Gateway stopped by to show us, and it's every bit as sleek as the iMac, for all you PC lovers out there...
Hot, hot, hot!"

Slashgear, September 27, 2007

"Gateway today announced a sleek desktop PC called The One that looks equally (or more) attractive than the new iMac."

PCMag.com, September 27, 2007

"I'll reserve judgment until I've run the Gateway One through its paces, but on the surface, the Gateway One is a stylish computer with an extensive feature set and a bunch of expansion possibilities—an evolution of the all-in-one form factor."

Computershopper.com, September 27, 2007

"If you're a dyed-in-the-wool PC user who wishes you had a system like the iMac to call your own, the Gateway One mostly fits the bill...
What we can foresee happening, though, is Gateway spinning off into a new design direction that could eventually lead home PC users to rethink their setups, just as Mac users have had to over the last decade."

Gizmodo.com, September 27, 2007

Gateway One Unboxed (Verdict: So Shiny and Sweet, It Gives Windows a Good Name)
"Normally I don't get this jazzed about desktop PCs, but the Gateway One is special. From the sleek yet substantial design to the quiet, powerful core, it's a real statement, especially from the cow-pocked South Dakota underdog."

PCMag.com, September 28, 2007

"One of the biggest splashes at this year's show was the launch of the Gateway One all-in-one PC. Taking the iMac to the mat on sleek design, the One is more that just good looks."

Wall Street Journal, September 28, 2007

"...the new Gateway One, a slick, black, iMac challenger."

This hookup prowess enables it to hold its own with satellite and cable boxes, Xbox 360s, camcorders, and high-definition players, giving the XHD3000 work and play potential."

MaximumPC, December 2007
"Thanks to Gateway's XHD3000, power users can enjoy all the benefits of a 30-inch, 2560x1600 panel without suffering any of the indignities inherent to other 30-inch LCDs. The XHD3000's unique use of an internal scaler means you can choose among multiple interface options, adjust the screen's image in a variety of ways, and play high-def content as its intended res. Switched.com, October 4, 2007

San Jose Mercury News, October 4, 2007

"Computer gamers and other people who are serious about their displays can look forward to this pretty new screen from Gateway."

MaximumPC, October 3, 2007
"While the major monitor manufacturers were busy churning out the status quo, Gateway was pushing the envelope. You'd think that with all the extras it offers, the XHD3000 would be more expensive than the competition. In fact, at $1,7000 it's priced lower than the 30-inch models from Samsung, HP, and Apple and is only slightly more expensive than Dell's 30-inch. If you're after maximum screen real estate and ultimate usability, the XHD3000 is well worth its asking price."

Yahoo! Tech, September 30, 2007
"The XHD3000 is best for those who want a top of the line monitor/TV and are willing to pay for it. Better yet, if you're planning a move to a full HD environment that includes things like DVD players and video camera, the XHD3000 makes a perfect centerpiece."

"The display offers a gaping 30" of incredibly clear and bright screen.  With a resolution of 2560x1600, it’s big enough to fit everything you do on the screen without overlapping.  I can't begin to describe to you everything this display has to offer...

I was really impressed when they moved the mouse to the area the PIP was covering and the opacity of the PIP area went to about 5-10% so that you could see clearly everything behind it. As soon as they grabbed what they needed and moved to the other area of the screen the PIP came back to 100% opacity. That was just plain awesome and a fantastic implementation of PIP for PC users."

"I might sound a bit excited about this product, but it's for good reason. I walked away from Gateway's booth with plans to purchase one of these [when they] become available. This after seeing just a five-minute demo... it's that good. We will certainly be following up on all of these thoughts once we get our hands on one to experiment with in greater detail. Without question, if we had such a thing, Gateway's XHD3000 would get our product of the show award."

"It could very well be the only screen you ever need, because it takes everything from a VCR to a high-end gaming PC and upscales it all with HQV Realta technology to display on its 2560x1600 screen, so no special video card is required."
