How It Works

Labelflash™ uses an imaging dye layer located 0.6mm under the surface of the non-data side of the Labelflash DVD media.Image of a printed Labelflash discYour optical drive's laser beam burns the image in blues into the disk; because the image is created below the surface, image durability over printed paper is much better. And the Labelflash images, having been burned in by laser, are clear and high contrast.

Using the System

Setup couldn't be easier. All you need is (1) a Gateway PC that has an optical drive featuring Labelflash™ technology and (2) the suitable Labelflash media.

No need for a special printer. No need for special paper and ink that require constant replacement. No fighting to position the printed label correctly on the disk. Whether the DVD contains business documents, your favorite music or movies, or your children's pictures, you can create the perfect label. And you can use free downloadable templates and Labelflash™ index maker so your task is even easier!

Easy As 1-2-3

What are the steps to using Labelflash™? They're few—and easy!

  1. Write your data on the recording side of the disk—just as you always do.
  2. Flip over the disk so the labeling side is face down in the DVD drive.
  3. Burn your desired image.

The process is really that simple. No waiting for the ink to dry. No need for a printer.
