Great PC

Over the past 15 years I have switched from [competitor OS] to PC, then a few years ago, back to [competitor OS]. I thought I would give the PC one more try and I am glad I did. This computer has amazing power. I can't believe the number of simultaneous processes I can run and this machine does not blink. I love the dual output for streaming movies directly to my living room via HDMI. I bought this PC and a 24” [competitor brand] monitor at [local retailer] for [price].

wireless lan

Great computer for price; I've had it for 2 months now. Some compatibility problems with Vista64, but hopefully drivers are being written for those peripherals. Took a bit of looking to find a low profile pci express 1x wireless lan card to replace the supplied phone modem in that slot, but D-Link DWA-556 Xtreme N Desktop PCI Express Adaptor worked fine, and appears to be Vista64 compatible. Actually, more than fine, it's blazing compared to the USB wireless I used with intermittent success for 6 weeks until it burned up. I liked the SX2800, but like it much better now with fast wireless. Maybe a future option care of Gateway?

Solid Performance

After looking for several months for a replacement computer that performed faster and displayed better graphics, I settled for this little number. I have not been disappointed. This Gateway handles processing with a zip and is fun to use. I would highly recommend this SX series to anyone that asks.

Nice Home Entertainment PC

Bought this PC to be able to watch mkv movies on my 57-inch [brand] 1080p HD TV. Picture is unbelievable and I highly recomend this PC as a digital media center for the whole family. The built-in HDMI makes all the difference. The only thing that you will need to complete this package is a [brand keyboard] with a mouse built in and replace the DVD burner with a Blu-ray player as well. This is an excellent PC for everyone.

Too Small

Smaller is not always better. I have not been able to find an expansion card to install for wireless service. True there are a wealth of USB ports so I could buy a USB wireless card, but these don't work well. Gateway's parts provider doesn't sell an expansion card that fits.

Vista takes a little getting used to but it does have some neat features. The computer is a powerhouse. I built a computer with specs like this a few months ago and it cost me more than this little firecracker.

Other than a setup sheet, there is virtually no documentation. Nor does there appear to be anything available online in the form of a manual.
