I purchased this computer and used it for 4 hours before turning it off for the night. It was easy to set up and beautiful, however the next day it would not turn on! I fortunately had a backup laptop.... Needless to say I returned the Gateway and paid the few extra dollars for the comparable [competitive] all in one. Wow--[it is] still working on the 2nd day! I will never buy a Gateway computer again.

yes a great product its silent the touchscreen is incredible works great fast computer so far i have no regrets... but maybe only one since im a sims fanatic i love to play the sims it has poor graphics i donot recommend this product if you want to play a game like THE SIMS 3 other than that its GREAT!!!

First I'd like to say that I purchased this computer a month after I purchased [a more expensive competitor]. This computer isn't as evenly priced as [it] so I was willing to accept a lesser quality product. But this doesn't excuse the way that it was shipped. The computer wasn't securely encased in foam like [the competing machine], so I'm presuming that it was dropped. This computer wouldn't recognize many of my programs to install.... Forget about it, I immediately returned the product. I'm going with [the competitor] from now on. I wanted to still give Gateway a try, even though I had previously owned a laptop for a couple of years before the motherboard went up. One other thing: The DVD drive is an inexpensive "pop out tray". I like to safely slide my DVDs into the DVD player (less susceptible to noise and damage to the drive).

I just got this computer last night, and so far so good. It took me a couple minutes to figure out that the receiver for the mouse is inside the battery compartment, but after that things were good. The microphone did not seem to work at first, but after a few modifications to the settings, it's now up and running. I had chosen this computer because it was cheaper than a comparable [competitor]. My boyfriend and sister both have had the exact same problem with the "other" brand's computers, and for some reason they just can't get it reliably fixed. This is my second Gateway. The first was a laptop and worked great until I slammed it into the side of my desk on accident. So I chose the cheaper, more reliable brand. My only two complaints are that the keyboard doesn't have those little tabs to pop out and prop it up on and that I have to burn my own backup/restoration discs.

Easiest setup for a computer since the lap-top. Out of the box to up and running in about 10 minutes. A very fast computer which responds well to high speed internet. The touch screen is a fun feature, but it's novelty may wear off soon. Overall I am very pleased with the computer.

I was checking out a number of touchscreen computers on display. I was quite suprised at what they could do. So easy to interface and very intuitive to what I wanted. Then I glance over and wonder why is this Gateway was MUCH cheaper. (An when did Gateway start making touchscreens) Myself and my buddy played around with this one and figured it did the same things and performed as an equal. Upon getting it home I was up and running in no time at all. My biggest problem with the set-up was figuring out that the little USB transmitter located inside the mouse had to go in the back of the computer. I'm still trying to figure out how to use all of the embedded software though. No tutorials. As awesome as the applications look to be, they could at least show me how to make the most out of them. Facebook and FLIKR are intergrated in a nice "touch" format as well. This is a great purchase for someone looking for a touchscreen. Almost for got. The 20" high def screen is gorgeous!!!

I love this computer I had two minds I was deciding between gateway and [competitor retailer] but choose gateway because of the cost, look and the specfication,When i got it home it only took me about 10 minutes to get it up and running without reading the instructions which was not provided but a child can get this up and running it was so easy, My only complain is that the keyboard dose not have ambient light for when you are using at night and when watching movies it tends to frezze or stick at times, but other than that I love this computer.

Great computer despite some bugs. I had to exchange 2 ZX4800-2 for minor problems (1 had dead pixels and the next had a load buzzing sound, third was perfect). [local retailer] was great about the exchanges. There are a few things that did annoy me. 1. No Cap Lock lite on the keyboard (need it for encrypted sites). 2. No back up discs (must purchase separately). 3. Very poor setup instructions. 4. On-screen user guide is generic and not specifically for the ZX04800-02. [edited-language] All in all I would recommend it to anyone ( I also bought for my wife and her best friend)

After trying out the (competitor model) first (returned it) then going to the (competitor model) (returned it due to freezing up issues), I decided to go with this one. Here I was I thinking that the most expensive to mid priced would give me a better performance. I was wrong. (competitor model) just didn't work with programs and when I called to help..well. let's not go there. Owning (competitor brand) before, thought it was a wise choice. It was overkill and it kept freezing on various things. Even in the store display model it froze up and they just contributed it to the software they use to protect them in the store. So, here it was . The cheapest of all and it's the best. Easy setup. Windows 7 is installed.Only complaint is .. give me a better instructional to know what all this is on the machine. I love the design. The screen doesn't show as much fingerprints either. I have already recommended it to a friend of mine over the (competitor model). Great color screen.

After catching my eye I played with this for a few minutes looked at the features, saw the price, and bought it. This was a gift for my wife who has a older laptop that is small especially when she make the font larger to make it easier to see. This system took me less than 30 minutes to get from the box to the Windows 7 screen. It is the easiest system I have seen so far to get up and going. If you are looking for a computer to do a little of everything very well, but don't need a laptop, and don't like the clutter of a desktop this is the one! The touch screen is really cool and if your wife watches the TV shows that has the guy moving the stuff around the screen with finger tips, they will love this. I am a gamer and build my own, but this system is the best gift I could have gotten my wife this year! After 34 years I should know!
